PREFACE
The
Extinction Event we humans have (already) created is not crime fiction; this is the real deal, the nasty reality we have crafted amiss through sheer arrogance, and thereby blundered into through sheer ignorance and lack of faith in NATURE. More specifically, historically and psychologically, we have fabricated out of our toxic technologies an Unexamined Future, instead of crafting a much more predictable future through using the TEMPLATE of nature. We have willingly participated in these crimes because we have accepted the notion that we can create spontaneously outside the ancient and reliable prescriptions of nature. What we start to understand, then, in terms of human health - the principle of "detoxification" - we can then appreciate in terms of planetary health: we need to eliminate the poisons that poison people, and the poisons that are poisoning our planet. More severe and destructive weather events and earthquakes are occurring for a reason.
And, what of "detoxification"?
These are the herbicides that our livers abhor; the pesticides that generate brain damage (especially poor recall); the alien medicines that poison our kidneys and heart muscle; the invasive and unnecessary chemical and surgical treatments that accost our bodies with raging assaults under the guise of required medical procedures. These more than recommended procedures (often, a great deal of pressure is applied to the health victim) are the only options available within our monolithic medical institutions because modern medicine and modern science is, supposedly, the only 'truth', and the only viable and sanctioned way to understand 'reality'. We forget that, once, the Catholic view of the origin and structure of the Universe was the only acceptable 'truth'. And it disappeared in favor of a temporarily more objective science that now loses its objectivity in many areas through the same brand of cultic arrogance, through believing that the search for truth or reality is somehow over. Who within the science that supports and promotes the power structures of this world would admit to this perceptual disability? The bigger the institution, the less likely it will admit to error, and the more virulently it will defend its arrogance. INTRODUCTION
Our modern lifestyle is designed to institutionalize synthetically supported comfort zones. The same kinds of technologies that generate convenience also make us highly vulnerable to terrorist attacks. Electrical devices, exotic plastics, high-tech tapes, and cellular or mobile technologies can, in the form of explosives, bring ruin upon the delicate infrastructures that support most of our comfort zones. And not only terrorism. Large-scale and inevitable technological accidents, cutbacks leading to utility service decline or failure, ageing infrastructure (like water pipes), hacker attack on internet-dependent businesses, strikes, fuel shortages, water wars, natural disasters, job loss, and global warming all have the capacity to suddenly and dramatically reduce or eliminate everything we are familiar with. Once, a large percentage of the 'population' were capable of growing their own food. Now, we are utterly dependent upon supermarkets. Our vegies and milk come from cold storage and shelves now, and not the ground and animals we might have inherited from ancestors, dynamics we would have tended with care and through an internalized and developed intimacy.
We are, therefore, VULNERABLE.
It is essential that we are developing alternative ways to promote our survival in the event that a sudden emergency causes the collapse of that steady lifestyle envelope of fluffy predictability we assure ourselves will daily embrace us with its beneficence: a seemingly predictable life.
It should also be taken as read that personal and family health care represent cornerstones and imperatives that need strategic and consistent optimizing in this world of ever-increasing pollution impacts. Personal health (both physical and motivational) is the cornerstone of personal power, energy, drive, endurance and forward purpose. More on this later.
DISCUSSION
The spiritual desolation of modern life is really the most pronounced metaphysical problem that we humans face today (see http://poisonedpeople.com/ironwill/index.html). This is central to Global Health because spiritual dysfunction, or the intrinsic degeneracy that gradually manifests within a declining civilization, is the source of the supreme compromise of ethics that is engineered just before the bow wave of rampant human curiosity takes shape and ploughs up all before it. Effects have causes, so there are reasons for why 'society' is the way it is. There are reasons for almost everything, though many causes are very veiled and difficult to define and track backwards (or source).

As part of this core problem of spiritual dysfunction, the Western technological lifestyle has had many unfortunate and inequitable impacts on this world's natural environment and peoples. Generally, it has displaced indigenous cultures and seriously marginalized them, leaving them on the fringes of synthetically wealthy lifestyles, eking out an impoverished existence and thereby laying the foundation for habitual crime and, even further, the taking on of extremist ideologies (it is a natural desire to want fairness, and a share in wealth).
These 'masses' are then
either forgotten entirely (as the rest of the "Wealth-world" charges ahead with
the expensive suit, shoes and mobile phone proffering a desired image and
statement of sophistication), or
become fodder for huge multinational corporations taking advantage of their
relatively new 'suburban' (more often, ghetto) dependence on cash and addictive Western products. Briefly, this kind of outcome describes
an insidious dynamic whereby Western culture dominated by transnational
interests, has spread through formerly
agricultural, subsistence and forest indigenous cultures, crafting a wholesale
loss of ancient knowledge. This diminishment of old ways of relating to
the
earth ethically (and, as the basis of ethics, our metaphysical/spiritual
orientation and relationship with each other) occurs simultaneously with the development of the materialistic
knowledge of artificial means for so-called 'advancement'.
The problem is that what develops into true addictions to energy-hungry and toxic ways
and means of living is erroneously considered to represent progress or a higher
dynamic in human evolution. But this is
really a mythical and stupidly romantic notion within the overall concept of
scientific
advancement and planetary domination. As such,
Global 'Health'
as it now stands signifies across-the-board ruination
on a global scale as a function of both the advance of time and the degeneracy
of our ethics, with both funnelling into a materialistic increase of disjointed
and dangerous particulate knowledge
typical of all civilizations before their imminent demise. We are now
witnessing an accelerating
Global Warming
threatening to lay waste coastlines
and meteorological regimes
worldwide once the planet's buffer systems reach their thresholds of tolerance.
Once these thresholds are breached, destructive change can advance extremely rapidly.
The rapid melting of planetary ice reservoirs (Greenland and the North Pole,
particularly) could unleash massive marine and coastal flooding
globally. There are scientific articles today noting this principle of
sudden and drastic change after "web of life" threshold limits are
violated beyond recovery (e.g. Pearce, F. 2003, Doomsday Scenario, New
Scientist, Vol. 180, No. 2422, 22nd November, page 40).
Flooding in Europe may add to Greenland's freshwater dump into the Gulf Stream which keeps Britain and Northern Europe warm. Once this massive oceanic 'heat pump' is sufficiently diluted, it will STOP pumping. What currently is the equivalent heat of a million power stations will then fail to migrate north to maintain this region's climate. A 'mini' Ice Age will descend with a hitherto unimagined ferocity. The English countryside will then play host to massive glaciers

Origins & Meaning Lost
Certainly, we humans are distracted by the shiny objects we create. We like our inventions, however, for a reason. The cause of our worship of synthesized objects (the worship of materialism) is a cumulative mindset motivated by many aberrant and unstable reactions within our specialized minds. But these reactions are buried in the famous 'mists of time' and are largely unrecoverable in any strictly objective or measurable (quantifiable) sense. However, our total problem can at least be intellectually represented as an unknown, primeval and PROFOUND metaphysical disengagement from nature. This INJURY of stark individuality, "aloneness" and consequent forgetfulness (we can't remember things and we therefore repeat errors generationally because we do not truly unite and share on a broad metaphysical plane) has led to a self perpetuating and historical lack of awareness of the ancestry and depth of this weird form of incompleteness. Animals do not experience this unusual dysfunction, unless they live too closely associated with humans and are dominated by humans. This says something about the 'Fascism' of animal captivity in poorly equipped zoos and circuses, and the supreme abnormality of hormone-stuffed intensive animal production (it should therefore be no surprise that overmedicated animals are hosted by another overmedicated species: us).

We have fashioned many mythologies that strive to give an account of our repeating psychological pathologies. Some, via religion, offer highly biased versions of our origins, history and potential rewards (a selfish signature of ultimate spiritual 'progress' -- getting to Heaven, and getting your reward), and demand -- via another form of totalitarianism or Fascism -- that we ('heretics') call it truth. Other mythologies, particularly those created through more modern technological propositions such as the Theory of Evolution, assert that truth is defined by preposterous, romantic philosophies again disbursing that vacant and wholly repudiated concept called "progress". Here, amoral, empty and anti-spiritual notions assert there exists a strange right to dominate an entire planet and all other species with an intent or motivation that neither understands its format and development, nor sensibly anticipates outcomes. How dumb are we, then?
We are a religious species because we are looking for lost meaning. We are seeking to heal ourselves from INJURIES. We want to add back the missing portions of the jigsaw puzzle. But our presumptuous and bigoted certainties unfortunately usually manage to sway millions with diabolical fables. These fables represent the doctrines that offer a lifetime of fear through beliefs and prescriptions for conformity that mute and imprison what should be a much more intuitive and beautiful consciousness (if we had that consciousness, we wouldn't feel so alone, and we wouldn't need so many empty possessions that fail to make us feel complete, worthwhile or significant).

INCAPACITATED THROUGH POISONING
What we can be sure of is that we really know very little of our past, our true origins. Even the tiny representation of history we are left with is biased, locked up, and controlled by those in orthodoxy who believe they own history (another pathetic example of accumulating 'possessions'). In like manner, many areas within modern medicine believe they 'own' a particular disease or common health problem. This couldn't possibly have anything to do with the exotic, money-spinning drug treatments that are recommended as treatments, could it?. The Holocaust-derived pharmaceutical giants (and others) and the orthodox policing bodies they have so effectively indoctrinated will vilify, bankrupt or criminally charge any who try, in the spirit of real democracy and natural diversity, to promote alternative ways to conceptualize of disease formation and health maintenance, and non-invasive methods of apprehending such processes. Therefore, much of the true knowledge of healing has been replaced by chemicalised schemes designed to make corporations wealthy, while brainwashing millions (the cannon fodder) with the fiction that toxic chemical cocktails are an intelligent way to treat disease. The 'progress' that rushes us away from natural means of treating human health imbalances further compounds our stupidity and loss of original knowledge. As such, again, the wretched state of Global Health on this planet becomes a statement of a monumental internal spiritual disease that came first, and which plagues humanity permanently.
Our Thirst for a Clinical World of Meaning
Ultimately, what we humans do 'best' is to create dysfunctional, totalitarian mythologies that bind us all up in the repeating catastrophes that are generated by our obsession with sanitizing everything. And the greatest of these catastrophes lies within this cycle of history. It is the fable of the evolutionary technological imperative: certainly a magnificent story of a noble (where did this nobility come from if we are just an assemblage of molecules and cells?) onward and upward climb to sparkling supremacy, complete with a striking and paradoxical purposelessness that defies the vast swathes of evidence surrounding us all, evidence supporting the implicit design of every atom in the universe and every possible relationship between those atoms (and smaller). How easy it is to see, once we appreciate the exquisite design of all elements and contingencies in this Universe, and the forward purpose crafted into our histories and lives, that we are well trained (or well set up) to avoid the truth of this reality (the INJURY So, in our collective amnesia, we are enlightened slowly, and only by particles of knowledge as we waste our lives and this planet fabricating religious mysteries that seemingly stand us in poor stead.
In being very impressed with ourselves as our embrace of technology deepens the mire in which we frolic, we inadvertently define, in ever tightening and descending spirals, this perverse ego of a modern humanity in love with the function (or means) of the domination and erasure of all life. In our tiny worlds swamped with techno glitter, there is no real semblance of a purpose (or designated ends) and a meaning that is founded in the true reality of nature. We imagine we were 'meant' to become supreme (somehow) as a species, and yet we fail to ascribe true design to this seeming inevitability. The perverse admiration for our own incredible brains is therefore disjointed, and without meaningful foundation. We make the critical mistake of fantasizing without any reference to anything of value (nature), and therefore lose, in the very first instance of our fatal presumption, the universal submissiveness we must share with all animals in order to really know what we are, where we belong, and how we should live, plan, act and anticipate (religion provides some useful notions regarding these 'quantities', but it falters as church fathers reap totalitarian torments through their uncontrollable urges to sanitize homogeneity of doctrine).
It is here where the once panoramic vision of
Global Health
becomes marked for extinction by a dumb species that forgets its past. It is
here where we can account for our greatest losses, even in terms of what has
been obliterated via all previous wars, for the whole world is today lost inside
a passionate and deadening love affair with technology.
We
might believe we live charmed lives as a remarkable species, but we are stalked
by the fatal advance of a compendium of total ignorance, false hopes,
invisible chemicals, largely untraceable multiple health impacts, and a planet
in extremis and unable to cope with inflated energy budgets produced out of
perverted and rampant technological innovation. New Orleans has discovered this in its
recent pain. The ultimate obscenity
is this power of technology to destroy an entire planet, first by a slow death in
terms of those multiple health impacts on wellbeing and fertility, secondly in terms of
a growing terrorism of hatred employing war technology to strike at the
lifestyle technology we
inanely believe is right and good, and thirdly a nature now on a rampage doing
precisely the same, but for different reasons. How incredibly dense we are to imagine that any
form of Imperialism (colonialism, resource rape, replacement of nature) will create benefit in the long run. To lose a single
river momentarily to excessive runoff pollution, or to lose a single mind to
vengeance is one thing, but to sicken and destroy all future generations of
plant, animal and human life, and to pile upon that misery the hatred of
millions of lives blighted by corporate greed, is quite another blunder of more
than 'spectacular' proportions.

The Few Who Know, & the Many Who Don't
There are the rare few within, yet apart from, the great Western displacement (or, the general cortical tendency of the human mind to separate from nature, but which is inflamed by a passion for technology) that have already incorporated, through personal circumstances that frame a different upbringing or revelation, the knowledge they need to maximize their chances of avoiding future, massive and worldwide upheaval. These few fortunate people are those who connect to and live with the land, and are therefore not so dependent upon technological infrastructure (you can cut your energy needs by a factor of 10 if you try). They collect their own water, they grow their own food and raise animals, they know how to fix and recycle things, and they know how to treat their own diseases without toxic drugs.
This website is really not for these people! It is for the multitudes who have been conned by a modern technological world of glossy, but shallow ideas that have transfixed humanity for millennia. This site is for the wanna-be escapees of a system of repeating ignorance that has wiped knowledge aside in its venomous march down through a shattered succession of histories of habitual and grinding error. We are not alone; we have been around for much longer than 6,000 years; our orthodox historians know little of the true histories that tell much more than they want us to imagine; there is infinitely more purpose built into this world and universe than we can fathom; and we are destitute without the knowledge of the metaphysical dynamic that founds all space, time and matter.
Global Health & Survival first involves a change of mind or heart, or a significant alteration or revision of perspective. This does not mean dreaming a dream and vacuously hoping for some kind of empty salvation from the government or Lotto, or imbibing of a 'positive thinking' philosophy that chants affirmations without intersecting and incorporating real truth at a grass roots level. In the context of this site, survival means focusing on where we are now in terms of dependencies, and then how to get to a different place when we find we are really solidly 'stuck' and exposed to danger. In other words, I am describing ways and means toward removing a gross and otherwise permanent dependence on technology (and the gross spiritual desolation that accompanies it), and "getting back to nature". And, yes, you may need to use aspects of that same toxic technology first to get started toward what you need.
THEN THERE'S NO REASON TO LOVE...
This is obviously not just a site recommending only physical means for physical ends. It points toward the non-physical realm of understanding that is primed for meaning, expression and emergence (potential). We need to use both the mind and the body, the spiritual and the physical, and the reality of true knowledge and understanding to maximize that potential. Living a lie or arrogantly believing we know the truth when we don't will not maximize the emergence of real wisdom in this life.
One last point: this site might appear to some to have an esoteric bent. It might appear to be offering mystical insights that lie beyond the ken of mortal man. Not so. There are no absolute mysteries here; no impossible concepts; no cultism of knowledge seeking devotees to sacrifice life, limb and bank accounts to a shadowy Master with delusions of grandeur. Income Needed to Change Our Focus on Survival
You must (in most cases) have excess income available in order to finance most varieties of sophisticated survival strategies, and especially so if you live entwined within that vast fabric of technological supports that carry the suburban lifestyle. Here, your life is defined by utter dependence upon that technology. And, to the degree you are bound to that dependence, 'sophisticated' will mean un-learning, and re-learning and extraction. Extraction means translating yourself and your family from an entrenched position within a technological framework that forces you to participate in the destruction of an entire planet and moving into a new way of cooperative effort with nature! This requires a fairly sophisticated operation because we are so utterly welded into this sensitive (non-sustainable, polluting) infrastructure that empowers our lives with synthetic engines of energy and convenience, and lavishes us with products and services provided by many others likewise dependent upon the same artificial sources of greedy power. Even though these materialistic helps add previously unimagined dimensions to our lives, they also take from us the most basic attributes we are blessed with: our health and our personal empowerment (our real connection with nature and each other, the 'cure' for the 'INJURY'). The problem of re-education and extraction applies especially to city and urban dwellers who have already staked their financial claims on the assumed immortality of our current technological way of life within Western civilization. The increasing degeneracy of urban life (the breakdown of formerly reliable and robust social patterns) and its fragility in terms of terrorism, represent only two of many significant fractures now working their way through our history and into our future ahead of us (creating inevitable catastrophic outcomes).
I personally despair of the fatally flawed
economic general laws upon which we are now so tenuously balanced. I
firmly believe I belong to another century! Nevertheless this 'reality' (the
fantasy we have manufactured) imposes itself upon us. Money is
unfortunately therefore needed in the first instance by the uninitiated of the
urban world to purchase
KNOWLEDGE, and secondarily to purchase the means to make your life safer
in a very unsafe world.
In other words, money created our stupidly 'advanced' technological lifestyles,
and money is therefore needed to finance our 'escape' from this
compromised lifestyle. An escape to a
more secure and simpler lifestyle
where we will have engineered a greater MARGIN OF SAFETY by and through
sidelining technology and
enhancing our rapport with nature. This concept is so IMPORTANT!
Unless we humans come to understand through humility that we are organic
creatures that need to live according to nature's patterns, then we will
disappear in the slow death of an advancing chemical oblivion, and the hail and brimstone of a nuclear day and silent night of a
nuclear winter.
