Tenants need approval from the Department to be away from their home for
more than six weeks. The Department will approve this if it is
satisfied that:
from+Dwelling.htm).
Seems innocuous? Not if you believe that you should not have to ASK
PERMISSION TO LEAVE YOUR UNIT! Ask New South Wales Department of Housing tenants what
they think of this edict! They will tell you, uniformly, that they
consider this policy to be utterly insulting and obnoxious. Now, why would
people react this way? Simply because these people are adults and do not
believe they should be treated like children, or worse, as prisoners!
I propose here a strategy: that of giving the New South Wales Department of
Housing what they want, and then even MORE. I propose that all tenants
phone the department at least once a week, or write each week to offer the
department an itinerary of anticipated visitations to the toilet, to the back
yard, and to the shops. In more ways than one, this would alert the
department to the tenants' movements... Along with this, I suggest
that at the end of each week, should the tenant have deviated from the
itinerary, they should again contact the department to explain the reasons why.
But this is an interesting issue because everything is a symptom of something.
And at the heart of much that is organized is Fascism.
Take my problem with the New South Wales Department of Housing and create an
analogy. Would a fascist state admit to abuse of its victims? Of
course not! A dictatorship usually sees itself as benevolent, though
perhaps firm, and certainly in the business of generating wealth and preeminence
for those it favors. So, a dictatorship has problems seeing itself for
what it is, and seeing its actions for what they really represent, right?
A fascist state therefore is blind. And it cannot admit fault or
liability. Why? Because IT is actually more important than
those it rules over (note that true serving actually disappears from a
state's actions). In fact, those 'under' it must not gain
preeminence! And, when the internal culture of the dictatorship sees
those ruled over as, essentially, the ENEMY, then we might start to see
just how far a disease of purpose and perception can incorporate itself into an
organization like the New South Wales Department of Housing.
I was poisoned by a termiticide (and so was my son, and my neighbor).
That termiticide was forced upon me, even when the New South Wales Department of
Housing had it on record in two formats that I suffered chemical sensitive
asthma. And, would you believe that a second termiticide treatment
was forced upon me too, even when I asked the pest contractor not to
spray because the first treatment made me sick.
And, what of the New South Wales Department of Housing's response?
None, for about three-and-a-half months after they were aleted to the fact of
THREE PEOPLE HAVING BEEN POISONED!
And, then, no admission of fault because a fascist state that wages chemical
warfare against its own people cannot admit error.
